Journal of the fourteenth day on board

16th May, 1999

7:10 a.m.: Hurry up, hurry up come here, I can see a fin. Quickly there is a shark!
We are only 10 miles from Taranto, the water is very still, you can see the coast in the distance and the view of a fin is a wonderful new. It is great to see the first shark early in the morning during a sunny day, with a calm sea and all the equipment functioning perfectly.

4:40: If it was a fin, it was belonging to a very timid owner. Only Francesco and Diego saw it and only for a few seconds.
