Taranto welcomes us with a family of 'grampi' swimming round the
Alicudi. Piero and Diego drive the dinghy among the fishes and
Alberto swims with them for a while.
A 'gramp' can weigh as much as 8 people and it can be more than
4 metres long. Its body is stumpier than a dolphin's, yet it is
still agile and its body is covered with scratches probably caused
by other 'grampi'. Because of its melon-shaped head it looks like
a black whale, its very light colour remind us of a beluga living
in our seas.
